Not having a big fancy house…I have made a home for my children.
Not having a super-fast sports car…I have a car suitable for transporting my children.
Not taking an exotic vacation…I’ve taken time off work in the summer to spend with my children.
Not eating at fancy restaurants…I have a dining room table that seats my children.
Lying awake at night…I used the time to pray for the safety of my children.
Not having money to spend on myself…I’ve provided the needs and wants of my children.
A so-called friend walking away from me…It made even more room in my heart for my children.
The times I was awakened in the middle of the night by a scared or sick child…I was needed by my children.
The nights I brought home take-out for supper…I had time to attend activities of my children.
The mud tracked into my house…I played outside with my children.
The times I left the dirty dishes in the sink overnight…I sat and rocked my children.
All the hugs and kisses I’ve used to heal boo-boo’s and broken hearts…I’ve been hugged and kissed by my children.
All the time, money, patience and love I have invested in my children…I am loved by my children.
